In parallel, Utimaco’s LAN Crypt File and Folder Encryption ensures that sensitive credentials and data are encrypted and tightly controlled, offering fine-grained access to authorized users. • Securing IoT Devices at Production: Assigning trusted identities to smart devices during production ensures they can be securely identified throughout their lifecycle. With our joint solution, smart device manufacturers can issue “birth certificates” to their products right on the factory floor. This guarantees secure identification and onboarding of the IoT devices while providing encrypted communication over untrusted networks once the devices are out on the field. 
• Ensuring Compliance with VS-NfD and CRA: In collaboration with Nexus, Utimaco is excited to support the Nexus Personal Smart Card Middleware™ for DiskEncrypt. This partnership allows organizations to leverage smart cards issued and managed via Nexus solutions for enhanced disk encryption capabilities.

A major European telecommunications provider is leveraging the Factory CA (Certificate Authority) solution to secure the provisioning and communication of its IoT devices. By utilizing Utimaco’s u.trust General Purpose HSM to issue and store device certificates and Nexus PKI for lifecycle management, the company has significantly reduced the risks of counterfeit devices and unauthorized access while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
